Building monitoring without building the platform

Qubitro already decodes the sensors a building fit-out actually uses: air quality monitors, occupancy and people counters, door contacts and light sensors from Milesight, Elsys, Tektelic and others. Connect one and it reports readable data with a starter dashboard, so there is no decoder to write. You hand the finished application to your client on their own domain, under their brand.

If your device is not on the list

It still works. Anything that speaks MQTT or HTTP, or arrives through a LoRaWAN network server integration, connects to Qubitro. A template only saves you writing the decoder — without one you write that function once, and from then on the device behaves exactly like a templated one.

From pilot to handover

The application you build can move to your client’s own domain with their branding, and pricing is per device from $2 per month, so the cost you carry is predictable enough to put in a quote. More on how integrators run projects on Qubitro is on the system integrators page.

Where Qubitro is not the answer

Qubitro reads buildings; it does not control them. There is no BACnet or Modbus integration, no writing setpoints back to HVAC, and no closed-loop automation — if the project is building control rather than monitoring, you want a BMS, with Qubitro at most sitting alongside it as the wireless sensor layer. There is also no self-hosted option, so if the building owner requires data kept on premises, we are not the right choice and ThingsBoard is worth a look.

Which building sensors work with Qubitro out of the box?

The devices listed on this page all have a pre-built template: selecting it configures the payload decoder and a starter dashboard, so the sensor reports readable data on its first uplink. Can I put my client's brand on the dashboards?

Yes. White-label covers a custom domain per client, your logo and theming, so the application you hand over does not mention Qubitro. That is the usual reason system integrators choose the platform.

Can Qubitro control the HVAC as well as monitor it?

No. Qubitro is a monitoring and data platform — it has no BACnet or Modbus integration and does not write setpoints back to building plant. For control you need a BMS. Qubitro is commonly deployed alongside one as the wireless sensor layer.
