Cold chain monitoring, from cold room to audit

A cold chain deployment is usually three kinds of sensor: probes in the rooms and cabinets, contacts on the loading bay doors, and trackers on the vehicles. Qubitro decodes all three on connect, from manufacturers including Dragino, Milesight, Browan and Abeeway. Alerts fire when a threshold breaks, and the history is still there when the auditor asks.

What this looks like in practice

Devices with a ready-made template

30 devices from 16 manufacturers. Each ships a payload decoder and a starter dashboard, so it reports readable data on its first uplink.

If your device is not on the list

It still works. Anything that speaks MQTT or HTTP, or arrives through a LoRaWAN network server integration, connects to Qubitro. A template only saves you writing the decoder — without one you write that function once, and from then on the device behaves exactly like a templated one.

From pilot to handover

Where Qubitro is not the answer

Qubitro is monitoring, not certification. We do not supply calibrated sensors, calibration certificates, or a validated system, so for GxP pharmaceutical storage that requires qualified, 21 CFR Part 11-compliant monitoring you want a validated provider — Qubitro can run operational monitoring alongside one, but it should not be your system of record for a regulator. Tracker coverage is also strongest on LoRaWAN: if the core requirement is cellular fleet telematics, with routes, driver behaviour and CAN bus data, a dedicated telematics platform is the better tool.

Common questions

Can Qubitro send an alert when a freezer goes out of range?

Yes. Rules watch incoming values and fire when a threshold breaks — a freezer above −18 °C, a chiller outside 2 to 8 °C, or a bay door held open past a set duration. Alerts can go to email, webhooks and other notification channels.

Is Qubitro suitable for regulated pharmaceutical storage?

Not as your system of record. Qubitro does not supply calibrated sensors, calibration certificates or a validated, 21 CFR Part 11-compliant system. For GxP storage use a validated monitoring provider. Qubitro is a reasonable operational layer running alongside that, not a replacement for it.

How long is temperature history kept?

Time-series data is stored with a configurable retention policy, and the limits depend on your plan. History can be exported through the REST API at any time, so records can be kept outside Qubitro if an audit requires it.
